Beggars belief our transfer targets. Scouts should be sacked, all we seem to get are other clubs rejects or utter rubbish (bar a select few)
But isn't that the way of the world for the smaller clubs ? We can only buy a player from a 'bigger' club if they no longer want him. We can't go to Spurs and buy Eriksen as they still want him. We can however go to Barnsley and steal their top player as they are further down the food chain.
The reports were always saying that we'd only buy Bony if Llorente was leaving. I think he'll stay and Bony will be the first through the door.
We should have kept Mark Gower. We could have got at least £25 million for him off Everton. They do seem enamoured with our players.
I'll be very surprised if the Yanks spend half of the transfer fee. Now we'll find out their true intentions
I don't mind seeing Bony coming back, he'll be chopping at the bit to start banging them in, but Chadli? not so sure on this, and definitely not anything north of £15 Million............
Llorente, Bony and Amraham up front sounds like a potent strike force to me, I like it. If Bony returns I see Abraham taking Rotledge or Ayews place to play alongside out striker. Don't get the downer on Chadli ?? He left Spurs for the same reason Siggy did, to get regular football but just went to the wrong team. He was excellent at Spurs, better than Siggy, but Spurs play football so they suited him. WBA dont play football though, under Pullis anti-football regime hoofball prevails which doesn't lend itself to getting the best out of skilful players like Chadli. Whoever we get as a replacement will need a month of games to get up to speed as they've missed out on a pre-season. This pisses me off big time because it means we've allowed ourselves to stall on the starting line and other teams around us to get the jump for no other reason than concentrating our efforts on selling a player instead of preparing for the season ahead.
