Just seen a few highlights from previous play offs...heartbreaking...well not WHU obviously. Thank God we are home and hosed.
OK so a bad start for the Welshmen and now attention turns to Holloway and Hughton. What do we think? I can see B'ham sneaking it tonight and winning easily at home. West ham/Bham final?
West Ham v Blackpool final was my prediction before the playoffs started and I stand by that. I did say that Blackpool would win the final, but now I think it'll be West Ham. They've just been far too good over the last few games.
Ince was good tonight. When he was playing right wing early on Birmingham marked him out of the game (something we miserably failed to do). Anyway, he moved around and could easily have got a couple more goals.
So what will happen this afternoon? Hoping for a Cardiff win. Still no words of congratulation from Fat Sam for our promotion. Git!!! Think it will be a West ham Blackpool final though.
Quite possibly, BIG Sam thinks that like the BBC and all West Ham fans (easier to forgive) that they have a right to be in the big time, as oppose to little old Soton! On the final day of the season, the only mention of Saints was that they let us off the hook or something such like during our poor run. Hmmm, gracious. Nigel Adkins he is not.
Can't see Cardiff beating West Ham...Cardiff look the weakest team in the play-offs. But whoever comes out on top out of Blackpool and Birmingham should give them a right game of it come the final. Luckily for us we can sit back, relax and enjoy the football.
Cardiff remind me a bit of Saints 2007...probably not good enough to be there. Another thing that will happen today is Blackburn become the second team we won't be playing next year. It's also the Southern League Play-off Finals...exciting stuff (for me anyway).
I'm hoping that Blackpool get to the final, they will make such a great game of it, and would really make West ham work for it.
Yep I think Brum deserve it after such a long season but Blackpool would probably make a better spectacle. Fat Sam and Holloway going at it on the touchline! A Kevin Phillips penalty to knock the Hammers out!
Gosport Borough got a 91st minute equaliser in the Southern League play-off final...scored by Steve Claridge!
