Deserved over the course of the season, but Blackpool will be kicking themselves, they had some great chances to win that and probably just about shaded it on the balance of play.
And Rudi Skacel gives a motm performance for Hearts against Hibs 5-1, and scores 2 goals as well. When are we going to sign him..?
Agreed, we just had a world beater at left back and he had to play defensively. Good win for west ham. Had no favorite for this one.
By the way - pop on over to footballforums.net - good banter between all sets of fans and now Saints have their own sub-forum in the PL. Not as good as this site but the exposure to other fans' views is decent not606 4 lyf.
Oh well, I suppose from our point of view this is a better result with next season in mind, as long as we can take 4 points off West Ham again...
Afterwards Sam said "you have to take your chances" and it's probably the first thing he got right all year. It's not Phillips' fault they lost but both of those chances were glorious. Can't help but feel like Taylor-Fletcher might have made a difference, Sam must have thought he was still dreaming when he heard that news. I'm disappointed for Blackpool because they were the well run club in that final, but I'm sure they will do well next year if they can keep most of their players. Some decent defenders might help as well.
We took more points off West Ham than Blackpool this season so in that respect its better for us for them to be up. However seeing how much they spent when they were relegated they are going to be spending a lot this summer and will probably be in for a lot of the same players we will be and will be a bigger draw than Blackpool. For example I reckon the odds of West Ham signing Owen have shortened and ours lengthened. Not saying I want Owen but just an example.
Who cares? Not every single player we're after will now be hijacked by Wet Spam, ffs. We have enough about us not to have to worry about Wet ****ing Spam ffs.
Agree but without the profanity West Ham are going to have to unload some players(especially upfront)
No not every player but if Cortese has a wage structure he doesn't want to disrupt and West Ham come over the top we may lose so transfer targets. Not worrying its just an opinion that is all and an angle that may not have been discussed. A bit like West Brom and Villa when Liverpool sacked Dagleish. There is another big club now looking for a manager the same as they are and someone West Brom or Villa wanted maybe more tempted to go to Liverpool for more money. Its not an absurd notion.
