FULL-TIME: Derby County 0-1 Queens Park Rangers QUEENS PARK RANGERS ARE PROMOTED TO THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Who really cares though. I certainly don't. Feel for Derby but QPR took their chance when it came. That's the play-offs.
Annoying to see Harry promoted, but I don't feel sorry for Derby in the slightest. Even when playing against ten men, they just didn't learn any lessons. Dunne was clearing away everything, and they never managed to change that. What's the point in creating the best part of 15 corners, if you just stick them in there to have them headed away. Green made bog standard saves, nothing special. Man Utd against Fulham this season. Pretty much any team against Chelsea this season. And now Derby against QPR. If balls into the box are not working, TRY SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
I agree Brendy. Derby didn't do enough. They weren't patient enough, and didn't play their usual game.
Don't mind QPR, but it has been so nice without Redknapp's smackable face peering out of a car window all the time.
No the rumours will just add QPR to the list of teams wanting our players...with frequent mentions of how he once managed us (something we are trying to live down).
Tbf, I think there was always the risk of having to put Harry at SMS again next season, regardless of whether or not QPR went up today. Had they not been promoted, Harry would have walked into the first PL job to come up next season. Leicester and Villa possibly the likeliest two candidates. In fact, there's the WBA job available right now.
Oh well.... So let's play the game guess how much QPR spend this summer! Hmm I'll go for 73.4 million....
Be interesting to find exactly how big their fine is first. And whether or not the Football League are actually able to get them to pay it.
