Go on then TC show us the link saying he's on £6,000 a week. You really are in the wrong job,you should be on TV introducing jackanory.

Back to the main post,Bristol have a rich owner who gives the club £10m a year.

I don't think it's flirtation with rules even though they probably are cutting it close. What it is, is the future of British League football. We've already seen it in the Prem where Bent when to Villa for £25 million. It was bound to trickle down in to the leagues.

We're going to see clubs spending more and more money on player and their price are going to get inflated.

TBH Ridsdale is the one who is to blame if you like. He over payed for certain players good example is Ferdinand and fowler where he paid double the asking price. This started the price inflation in my opinion

Crap championship player maybe, good league 1 player though, with experience to nurture the promising young 'uns coming through.

New phone ain't a bad idea Paul but we always moan about our phones no matter what we've got so what's the point!

Not losing any sleep over a cup that should be binned off, last night's results looked more like pre-season again as not many supposedly better teams gave a ****. <laugh>

You won't be. And if we go up to our natural level you'll need a telescope to see us. We'll have to have to have a vote to see if we'll allow a Div 4 club on the premiership board. We indulge you whilst we're in the championship.

Gayle on £16k p/w at Palace, plus appearance money and goal bonus so more £20k ... Bristol are taking a massive gamble, and I honestly can't see them in the promotion picture ... this Championship is all about the squad and not the individual, and Gayle is no Messi ... if he doesn't settle quickly and win games on his own Bristol are in trouble

Wood didn't even talk to wolves about money, told them he prefered Leeds and they withdrew their offer.Leeds offer was the same as at Leicester £12,000

Thats correct. He said he couldnt resist the lure of one of the biggest clubs in England. When players sign for us, they see the bigger picture of the likely possibility of European footie within a couple of seasons

Yes - the lure of pre-season friendlies against Italian pub teams is far too big a temptation ;)
When was the last time Leeds competed in Europe btw?
