My post was made on the assumption that Bowyer and Gallen do manage to recruit some competitive players in the next month (I should have added that in). I know that is not a given at all - it will be very hard work. But what they achieved last season has convinced me I was wrong to doubt them, and I have faith now that they can do it again.
Who knows what Bowyer would take now. But I bet he won't be saying to his players before a match "do your best lads but I'll take 21st place right now". He will be firing those players up to win, to use the underdog card and get into them. I know you can't win a league on that alone. But you can upset some teams and climb to mid-table, especially in the first half of the season. 21st is the line we must not fall below. I don't think it should be the limit of our ambition.
Looking at the fixtures, as great as it is to see all the big names, I really feel we can finish above at least 3 of them, counting down the days already
It's red where it should be and white where it should be. That's all that matters. We played a season recently with red home kit shorts I seem to remember. Don't know what that was all about.
