My post was made on the assumption that Bowyer and Gallen do manage to recruit some competitive players in the next month (I should have added that in).

I know that is not a given at all - it will be very hard work.
But what they achieved last season has convinced me I was wrong to doubt them, and I have faith now that they can do it again.

 

Who knows what Bowyer would take now.
But I bet he won't be saying to his players before a match "do your best lads but I'll take 21st place right now".

He will be firing those players up to win, to use the underdog card and get into them.
I know you can't win a league on that alone. But you can upset some teams and climb to mid-table, especially in the first half of the season.

21st is the line we must not fall below. I don't think it should be the limit of our ambition.

 

Looking at the fixtures, as great as it is to see all the big names, I really feel we can finish above at least 3 of them, counting down the days already

 

The new home kit has leaked.

 

Looks quite nice.

 

It's red where it should be and white where it should be. That's all that matters.

We played a season recently with red home kit shorts I seem to remember. Don't know what that was all about.
