I couldn't agree more, but as a long standing BCFC fan I live in the remote hope that after being our owner for such a long time that SL will one day wake up and smell the Guernsey coffee and realise that his and his golden boys way ain't working and perhaps there needs to be a change of strategy.
Well, well, well, I was always under the impression he had some higher promotion pedigree, I was wrong! So it transpires he was another SL choice after all, although not the puppet MA wanted.
The brutal truth appears to be that SL is a control freak who will never employ anybody that has a mind of their own and perhaps knows better than him in the running of a competitive football club. He thinks it was a smart move to place an arsehole in a senior position to deflect the flack that he hates which immediately puts the whole set-up in to an unworkable situation because of personalities. I suspect that Ashton also has had to hide his head somewhere safe just in case he is found out to be an interfering jerk only interested in saving his own skin. I rarely see Lansdown Jr mentioned in dispatches lately and I wonder what his true role is these days or is he just making the coffee? A truly dysfunctional organisation which is unlikely to change it's stripes and only when I see both Ashton and Holden punted down the road will I think that perhaps we will get it right this time.
