There's a phrase that's crept in to rugby recently. Work hard at the things that take no skill. Run about, chase the ball. Stay in position. Unless you do that, nothing else matters.
Bit of a contradiction in terms there. Run about Chase the ball Stay in position Can't do all 3 surely? Is that why Wales rugby are knackered?
'Stay in position' possibly a poor choice of phrase. Maybe 'hold your shape' would have been better. Different game, but it takes no skill to chase a box kick. It takes determination and hard work. In football, closing players down, working to get into position / shape doesn't take skill, just hard work and mental fortitude.
They also use a 'box midfield ' apparently... Seems to be the in thing!! TBH I really can't see them hanging on to a playoff spot by the end of season... If they do it'll be a real shock.
Weird looking top 6. Top 3 are neck & neck Sunderland bang in between them and the pack chasing the 5th and 6th spaces. Fair chance the top 3 will go up regardless.
Well one of them is going to have to do it through the playoffs - and that can be a bloody minefield. I'll make a prediction - if Leeds don't go up auto, they won't go up.
I guess the 23rd and 24th not shown are Oxford at the Kassam and Luton at Kenilwworth Road who can only get about 12K in anyway.......
Good free kick for the first goal, but disagreed with the commentators. They said he fave the keeper no chance, but he got a full hand on the ball, he just went under it. I feel he could have done better. Good 2nd goal. Live, the keepers injury looked innocuous. Looking at the replays, it looks as if it could be a nasty one. Foot planted and the knee bending in a way it wasn't designed to.
