Putting this here as they were in the championship last year and could well be next. Forrest have spent over £100M in the close season. FACT. **** or bust. Hope they have some relegation clauses in the contracts. Lingard on £80k a week. A few bob more than he'd have got out west. How will Plug do I wonder?
Was very surprised Lingard went there rather than West Ham, clearly the money has talked rather than ambition. Honestly think they'll survive. Can see Bournemouth and Southampton both coming down. Fulham could struggle a bit too.
Brentford and before them Brighton & Bournemouth have shown a promoted club can flourish but as usual 3 will go down. An established club can go down- Everton nearly did last season. Fulham tried to buy their survival but failed. Looking at Forests squad, it lacks PL experience throughout but so did eg Brentford & Brighton. They’ll be an unknown quantity and possibly will catch a few seasoned clubs out but it’ll be a hard ask to stay up.
Personally I think they will struggle. Might not go straight down but expect them to be in a relegation fight.
Sorry Andy, saw your text then forgot hahahha. I'm fit and well guys, unlike our pitch after all those fugging male and female buffaloes have been stampeding up and down on it and digging wallows in it. We have a pitch inspection at 6pm Saturday to see if it's playable, it's a fugging joke. So our season will be totally fugged to start with
Joe Bennett's Wigan go one up at Norwich with 30 minutes gone. Norwich look good but Wigan are matching them toe to toe.
So it's Norwich 0 - 1 Wigan at half time. Joe Bennett doing well with Josh Magennis leading the line up front for them. Norwich fans not happy with the game and not happy with Dean Smith either. Unless he pulls something out of the hat second half, he'll be under a lot of pressure.
Norwich booed off by their fans at the end of the first half and booed 0n when they came out for the second - that's bad form.
Looks like Norwich's Giannoulis has broken his ankle. Gone off on a stretcher - the game restarts and Norwich equalise straight from the restart.
Norwich were clearly the better team but Wigan are a tough nut to crack - they'll cause others some problems this season - hopefully not us.
