It was Jack Leahy who ghot the second goal and City also played 3 new trialists. Played with a back 3 of Nelson, McGuinness and Denham that looked very solid - good omens.
Good question. The start of a while new era for us both in terms of players and our playing style. It'll be interesting.
Used to travel to Cardiff quite a lot, picking up vehicles from BT on the Forest Farm estate. Always a good day out and a nice walk from the station and over The Taff.
Yes in Radyr. Always enjoyed a walk along there myself many years ago. I think there's a small wildlife reserve there now too. How do you think your boys will do this season? Straight back up again?
Welcome Farked. You coming for the game? Will your fans be impacted by the rail strike although it would be a marathon on the train? Ticket allocation (2,000 if not more) sold out?
No can't make Saturday but reckon it should be a good game. This season I think we should aim for top six. I don't want to judge Smith before he's had a crack at this level. We are rapidly taking the WBA crown as the yo yo club.
There's been quite a bit done on the Taff trail over decades. Near Trehafod there's parking areas and a chain of lakes with paths and seating. It was easy for my dad to get to in his later years.
I see the City under 21's played another game yesterday - they drew 2-2 away at Chippenham. Who got the goals? None other than James Crole and Jack Leahy again. Those two are pushing on and are yet more "ones for the future" - looking good.
I saw Leahy in the highlights of some of the pre season games and was impressed. Not sure I saw much of Crole but agree these look 2 good un’s for the future.
Swans no longer taking the knee. Cars, hubcaps, catalytic converters and car audio systems yes, but the knee, no. Don't know what we are doing.
Watching Udders v Clarets... Burnley looking pretty tasty already. Playing some very slick stuff. Udders been struggling but just starting to come into it a little more. Danny Ward looks like he'd be an ideal fit for our #9 shirt now
Watched the game and enjoyed Burnley's quick passing game - a far cry from their previous characteristic style under Dyche. If Morison has the same impact upon City's dinosaur recent past, we're going to enjoy this season. We won't win every game but I'll take playing like Burnley as a very good start. One thing though. Not sure if Burnley were made to look good by a very poor Huddersfield side obviously missing the Corberan drive from the touchline. Football managers, or lack of a decent one, do make a huge difference as was so obvious watching that.
