Look guys, let's get some realism here.

I know it's stating the bleedin' obvious, but we only need to match the points gained by the three clubs below us over the last 16 games to play Championship football again next season. Surely that shouldn't be beyond this manager and squad?

Even if one of those three has a purple patch and puts a run together, over those same last 16 games (48 points) we'd just need to accumulate half a dozen more points than any one of the three clubs immediately above us to escape the trap door.

Apart from Wigan, we've still got to play them all yet - this is going to be easy..........

 

..............and another thing.

Just looked at the Championship fixtures for tomorrow. Other than us, the four bottom teams are playing each other - Rotherham are at Blackpool and Huddersfield are at Wigan. Massive games for all and true 6 pointers.

Now that could be seen as a bad thing because somebody is going to get points, but on the other hand the results of those games could be of huge help to City - all we've got to do is get something out of the game tomorrow.

See how easy this is going to be?

 

Well if Birmingham who has just lost five in a row (I think) and then go and beat them away and West Brom at home why can’t we go on a decent run like that?

I understand your feelings but in order to help your conscience I suggest you think of wanting Blackpool, Huddersfield and Wigan to lose. That's what I'm doing
