My hand has now been forced. He's taking the piss and that cannot be allowed. The button has been pressed.
man city fans clapped off robben, bayern have been that good and negredo just scored a sweet sweet goal from no where 1-3
boateng sent off for bringing down toure outside the penalty box and silva hits the bar from the freekick
Don't understand it, the Germans have been the bane of England countless times in the World Cup and now they are dominating the Champions League. Not since 1966 and all that have we got one over them. Not seen Bayern play but the Press have been effusive in their praise of them. And of course they "blitzgrieded" Barcelona in the final last season. City make one venture over there and come out with a dud who contrary to the maxim that the Germans never miss a penalty does so in a critical situation. There must be some bargains over there to be had. Since I am assuming in the German League Bayern are not walking all over their opponents every week like they walked over Man City tonight???? No schadenfreude gained from Man City's loss by me (maybe the crowd from the other side of the City are getting some) just plain old envy of Bayern and German dominance, wish England and City could get some of it (dominance that is).
I have to say I was always brilliant at taking penalties in sunday league and i'm part kraut. Coincidence?
One of those against Arsenal in their own backyard. They can be beaten, but they are real grinders & even when their not playing well, grind out the result.
To be fair, they tend to sign their oppositions' best players, like Gotze from Dortmund, and Neuer from Schalke before. Next season they're after Lewandowski and no doubt Draxler will be on their radar. I don't think there;s any German teams who can compete with them financially, which make Dortmund's efforts last year incredible.
