  1. True, I just think calling him a bottler isn't right. It takes guts to try that dink IMO. Was the saying about being brave or stupid?

I still think he is a bottler

When a striker has a 1 on 1 chance to put their team up against a huge opponent in a huge game then unless the GK makes a world class save he has bottled it. And when you have some time like Welbeck did then you shouldn't even give the GK the option to save it.

When you bottle making the correct decision and just do the first thing that comes to mind it doesn't make a difference IMO if that means you try a chip out of arrogance or smash it straight at the keeper out of lack of confidence

  3. I'd say failing to shoot or missing the target is bottling. He tried to dink the keeper and but for a save (your criteria?) it may have been a goal (defender was there too). He was stupid if anything. He should have slid it passed the keeper, keep it simple and get the team in front.

    Check the persons username.

Objective views are not something he is capable off.

if welbeck had scored he would have found something to moan about. if we had won he would of found someway to moan.

Trying a difficult shot when a better and easier one is on is bottling it. He bottled the decision and he bottled the execution.

  6. Bottling something means nerves got the better of you. If nerves were a issue, why would he take a harder option? Trying the harder dink finish was in no way shape or form "bottling it". It was the wrong decision but it wasn#t a cowardly decision!

Was a cocky decision. Too much confidence probably from the fact that his man **** himself everytime welbeck got the ball due to his pace.

  10. I think Welbeck has been playing well bar his finishing. He has good movement and ability on the ball, creates space for not only him self but for others too. IMO, you guys should be looking to play him in more games. Sure, he's not your best player but its about the team and not individuals.

just the wrong option, we have seen it ourselves with Sterling, doesn't bottle it, but has tried the harder option when easier one would probably have been a goal.

both have time on their side to cut this ****e out, if you want to be cocky or try to be, do it when you are 4-0 up lol, they will learn.

Professionals make the correct decisions. Nerves and emotions should not come into it. People bottle things in different ways, some show it by being too aggressive with false confidence, some by being too timid. If Welbeck honestly thinks he did the right thing and just got unlucky then fine he's just a moron but otherwise he bottled it IMO.

I usually work on the following basis.

    Did astro say it?

If he did, it was wrong.
