Google picks just about every **** spelling going. I meant google the club and look at their name. There is no "shire" on there. Also check the leagues tables.

I know I'm in a monority group here but I don't care, I prefer to be in the right group

 

But if you google Notts County it doesn't come up Nottinghamshire County.. so your argument doesn't stack up

Easier way to prove I am right is by looking at the league tables.

 

It says Notts County... not Nottinghamshire County?

 

Notts is an abbreviation of Nottinghamshire.

Am I not right that one says Notts (Notts County) and the other Nottm (Nottm Forest). Point and case.

But Notts County have never been referred to as Nottinghamshire County... so Notts in this case clearly doesn't mean Nottingham. Therefore saying Notts Forest doesn't mean you are saying Nottinghamshire Forest and therefore it is fine to say Notts Forest

 

Do I really need to point out I live in Notts? Thats the county, not the city (which would be Nottm).

Notts County have always been called Notts County, I never claimed otherwise. I said Nottinghamshire County for clarification since Notts is a abbreviation of Nottinghamshire.

When Notts County were set up, there was no other team in the county. Therefore they were the Nottinghamshire team hence "Notts County".

Nottingham Forest are not Notts.

I'd like Borussia Dortmund to win the Champions League for some bizarre reason. Perhaps I can see parallels between your fantastic fans singing and theirs on a terrace with 25,000 singing. So c'mon Borussia!!

 

Funnily enough it is the reverse for me!! A club's fans can have an influence on how I feel about them. Don't mind Arsenal as they have a wonderful mix of supporters and unlike one or two other Premiership London clubs have never been associated with rascism or right-wing extremist parties.

 

As I said earlier, I can understand why because some fans can be utter nob heads. But I tend to think of them as a very small cog. All clubs have their twats, i just try to look beyond them. Its why I said fans only really bother me when in a big group; ie match day fans all chanting something I think is wrong.

 

The reason is quite simple - they're a self made club, built on finding talented players on the cheap, promoting youth, giving a young dynamic manager a chance, looking after their fans (cheap tickets). A very romantic story and we need more clubs like this.
