You couldn't make that **** up. What an ignominious performance. That dressing room is as gone as a Jew's foreskin (no offence to our Jewish friends ). I really couldn't believe what I was witnessing. Olympiakpos were decent, but utd were utter cack. Mind you, we must still strive for third in the PL just in case they win the CL

 

Did he have sideshow bob on playing for that long ball and using Rooney to drop in behind to cover cos his 300k is best used that way

The thing is.... I think utd tried to play these guys so if they'd got a big name in the draw they would have defended with 11 men back all night.. It saves fans abject humiliation and preserves our cl record of goals scored in one game

No....he played Cleverley instead then dropped Rooney back into the midfield once they went two down A tactical masterclass.

I didn't see many running into the box all night so not sure what RvP was on about (he also missed an absolute sitter so shouldn't be trying to shift the blame too far). I think what he meant by that statement was that he wasn't the only one huddled into a corner of the changing room crying at the end of the game but that he wanted to be alone to wallow in his own misery.

Olympiakos were terrible in the final 3rd but their build up play was decent, helped of course by Man Utd either sloppiy giving away possession in their own half, or being efficiently counter attacked by being lazy getting back. But you can only play what's in front of you and a higher standard of finishing could have seen Man Utd lose by more.

The only thing Man Utd put energy into was diving and abusing the officials, and even that was timid by their PL standards.

 

Watching it last night I couldn't help remembering Mascherano getting sent off for making one gesture at the ref and wondering how the hell R Wayne got away with doing it 6 or 7 times without even getting booked I thought the ref was unbelievably favourable to united last night and it still didn't help them

Whilst I agree Olympiakos weren't terrible they were certainly the poorest team I've seen at this stage of a CL in a long time (apart from united themselves of course ). Had that been us playing them last night we'd have slaughtered them

Would take more than 300k a week for me to want to stay at United for another 5 years
