They were done before it was started, don't get Messi being on the bench he was supposed to be injured, but then played and scored at the weekend...bizarre.
The thing is I bet if he had shot with his weak foot he would still have got a decent strike off. The issue with a lot of players isn't their ability with their respective feet it's about the hesitation, if he had just struck it he probably would have given Valdes something to save, but he hesitated for half a second and the chance was gone. I don't think the problems are a matter of being one-footed or two-footed, unless you are truly woeful with your weak foot it's just about being decisive.
Wow..! 0-3. It's ridiculous. Barca weren't playing badly, but they are being made to look distinctly ordinary.
My God it's an absolute whitewash, I would be disappointed if Saints lost 7-0 over 2 legs to Bayern, Barca fans must be having an absolute meltdown!
They're not as good as a few years ago, when they had Puyol in the team and Villa on the form of his life. Still in the top three or four, though.
Earlier in the week I made the comparison between the first match between these two and Saints v WBA. This match is an even closer comparison, including the same score [which might still change, of course]. It's not that Barcelona have played badly, it's that they have been completely outclassed. Sometimes, a team isn't able to beat another because that opposition team is strong in all the components that the first team's weaker elements are evident.
I honestly think football has to have a re-think. Total possession football doesn't necessarily work the best.
