We need a No.9, totally agree. That player will be as back up though, not a starter, as the shape of the side is beginning to come out and it will be Rooney up front with Depay and Mata either side. I don't have an issue with that.
Definitely happy with Herrera and Schweinsteiger, but like I said, lots of creativity up to that final third, then.... There were times when through balls were being played over and over again, and we pissed away chance after chance. 3 v 2 situations where the wrong option was taken. Rooney shouldn't have a backup imo. He should have direct competition for that starting position. If LVG can be ruthless with RVP, he needs to at least keep Rooney honest. I also feel that with a good 50 or so games to play, we need that choice. Finally, I can see a good number 9 resulting in Depay and Mata scoring more as well.
Is van gaal still experimenting or does he just like playing with 10 men for the first hour. Januzaj is always a minus whenever he plays in the hole, I'm sure van gaal himself can see it. We have all been yearning for him to play Herrera as the 3 midfield player behind the striker. It worked last night in the second half when Herrera was pushed to the no 10. Let's stick to that formation for a while LVG. And congratulations to Rooney for breaking his goal drought. I think its a bad time to score a hatrick though because now we are not going to buy another striker.

I'd prefer it if you said it in a video whilst performing some modern dance.. Would have more effect.
