You can't go wrong with Havanna Club - a nice Cuba Libre is always good...

EDIT - though probably too 'communist' for Two Kitchens Pete, what with it's associations to Che and Castro!

Why do you think I end up dressing up as a priest all the time?

I tend to get a bottle at Christmas, and another when the nights are drawing in during the autumn, so I make it last. There is another diplomatico that's £100+ per bottle. Exclusiva I think it's called. But the reserva is fantastic. Very smooth and fruity. I like my rum dark and sweet. None of this white Bacardi rubbish. Although Havana club is a decent drop. <ok>

The 7 year is worth it as you can drink it neat but it's not so good you can't mix it. The Zacapa I mentioned is worth it if you fancy a change, you can get it for around £60 so special occasions only.

Got a bottle of Mount Gay Eclipse on the go at the moment, for mixing only but a nice rum. Brugal is also worth a try it has a dry finish and you end up swiging away and before you know it the ****ers gone.

When you get a good bottle of rum it's pretty good , if you get a bad bottle ..........it's still pretty good .

  10. I think you're splitting hairs with that line of attack, tbh, Pixie.

  11. Not only did I honour the bet, Buzzy my old mucker, but I went one better! Instead of some silly old photo of Adams holding aloft a cup which I was honour-bound to carry for a mere calendar month, I have unilaterally decided to carry this photo of Adams for the entire season!

I am a proud man, Buzzy. I don't just honour my bets, I beast them! (as my 14 year old son would say)

It's pretty straight forward. You said you'd honour the bet. But you bottled it

Not just me fella. The whole site has witnessed HIAG making a plum of himself. Funniest part is that he's bottled the same challenge around 4/5 times. Accepting, then bottling, then saying he'll do it, then bottling it again ....

He's tied himself up in such a complicated knot that he's admitted that he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't. I simply fed him more and more rope <whistle>
