Sometimes in life it is necessary to take 1 step back in order to move 5 steps forward. It looked silly at the time, but now it is down as folklore as the turning point in Celtic fitba history. It made them lift their game and train hard to be among the ELITE. As a great, great friend of mine once said to me in the pub, "it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward",
Tokio Myers wins BGT! In what was a complete shock to all concerned, the well fancied and bookies favourite goes on to win the competition. Much like Real Madrid winning the champions league, nobody could've known.
Real had far to much quality for Juve as I expected they would do. Ronaldo did what the Barca front 3 couldn't, he took apart the Juventus back line, with clever movement and clinical finishing. For me he has to go down as the greatest player not just of this generation but of all time. I've never seen a player do what Ronaldo has done in the knockout rounds of this years tournament, he has literally completely dismantled 3 teams on the trot. 5 against Bayern, 3 against Atletico and then 2 against Juve. That's now 5 CL golden boots in a row for him too.
