"I like Deila as a guy, and I like the way he is trying to play football, but I think he is still unproven as a manager and has to get the job done tonight. He talked all last season about the treble and didnt deliver it. He says we will qualify for this and he has to deliver whether he said that or not, its the expectation for the Celtic manager to get into the Group stage. You get let off the first time, you need to deliver next time. Its rosie just now but dont be surprised if Deila comes under fire if we dont get through tonight.

2 nil up in the first leg and coasting, manager has to take some responsibility for allowing that to slip imo, nothing personal."

pre the event, fenster always one step ahead

I think he's just like the players Lawwell buys. A "prospect"/"work in progress". Depressing but true.

From MON doing everything in his power to bring success, to Lennon bringing back the thunder, to Deila asking for reserved judgement.

I can't see Delia changing what we have ... we don't have the budget and, if we did, I don't trust teh scouts not to **** it up.

For every gem they've spotted there is a least 3 or 4 donkeys to outweigh them.

That Celtic team should have had enough to get passed Malmo but what for... to get raped by Barcelona in the Group Stages - Suraez, Messi and Neymar would take 10 off of that defence.

That team would finish 4th in the group stages. What's the point if the ambition is not to get Group Stages and aim for 3rd as an absolute minimum.

Celtic have had 4 stress free seasons to build a team that will be unstoppable in the league and to build a team capable of qualifying for champions league each season and doing well.

But again.. they've ****ed it up due to being short sighted.

Whats the point in anything, we are fighting these strong nihilistic urges by routinely watching and commenting on this ****e, we may as well demand that we get raped at the very highest level, and accept nothing less.

    This. <ok>

We were lucky when we got through under Lennon the year we beat Barca and were utterly upstaged his second time round but it was still better than the last two Europa League campaigns which have been total snooze-fests.

Would rather see us get gaped off Barca than draw with Astra.

As I said previously, get more youth players involved and cull some of the duds. Back to basics.

Ronny is so involved with the finer details of game that he's cocked up the basics. He should leave all the other ****e to Collins and go away and learn some more tactics as plan A is pish and when plan B is stick with plan A you've got to see the problem.

Ronny has proven he can develop players. Took Johansen from a wasted teenaged talent and now he's three time PotY winner (Norwegian league, SPFL & Norwegian national team)

Developed Odegaard into Europe's most wanted teenage footballer also.

You have to question if Celtic is too big for him or is it that the club isn't equipped to have a manager who is better at developing talent than buying it?

Ronny has to develop too, he's he's got one system and its too ridged. Sadly I think he believes the system is more important than the players rather than a system that allows players to perform.

Strachan and Lennon were the exact same though.

Strachan persevered with 4-4-2 for 18 months while every other decent team in Europe adopted the Guardiola 4-3-3 and cost us a league title.

That lazy dick Commons "I'm not ashamed, I gave it my all"

There's your ****ing problem right there. Guys resting on the achievements of the past and holding it up as comparative to last night.

If Commons thinks his performance last night was "giving it his all" then he should be out the door before the end of the window.
