I know I'm banging on again about Gravenberch, but he was complete ****e. He wasn't the only one who was bollocks though. And let's be honest, Jones is no Macca - in fact, he's no starter, imo. Luccho ran himself ragged by the hour mark. :emoticon-0108-speec

    Maybe that’s what Arteta meant?

Should have finished it in the 1st half.

Trent's lack of defending awareness is something I don't think we'll miss though. tbh we should have converted him to a winger years ago.

Thought Robbo looked better today than he has the last 6 months. Kept Saka quiet

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live: "I'm very upset. We can draw and talk about reaction but I'm not into reaction, I am in action mode. What we did in the first 25 minutes was no way near the level.

"After PSG I accept we were the better team and deserved much more. It was unbelievable we were not through to the final. But today in the first 25 minutes we could have conceded three or four. After that yes, but then we went down to 10 men and still had three or four missing [with injury]. That Is what we have to demand from ourselves."

On his half-time words: "That stays in the dressing room. Yes, there was a reaction but only after. If you want to win trophies and be better than anyone, with the standards that are set in this competition and the Champions League, you have to be active not reactive."

On Newcastle next week: "I have full trust in all my players and we have full clarity in what we want to do. It will be a tough game and we want to secure the Champions League and the second spot as well. It is a big opportunity."

On the importance of securing second: "If you cannot be the best, then you have to be the best of the rest. That is very important. Again today we play with ten men, half of our team injured, and some of them playing when they should not, and still we performed in a way we have done for seven/eight months. That is what we have to demand from ourselves

I didn’t see any of the game today
Just read up on here and seen posts here and there
Was at three other games so totally missed everything
what’s strikes me as sad is there seems to be more talking more about Trent than anything else
I really think that Trent should be dropped now and not played
Can come to palace but only for the lift imho
    Sad but true

Didn't do anything to shut people up today and probably cost us the win by not moving with the defensive line.

If Bradley hadn't only just come back I don't think TAA would have got on. Slot pretty much confirmed in his pre-match he doesnt really want Trent in the starting XI

I think that coupled by fact he got done by Trossard once then stood off and let the cross come in too easy and then got booked all in relatively quick succession prob just slot taking him out firing line.

I thought first half he was superb but 2nd he dropped of (as did everyone) and not sure if that’s cos still building up fitness.

Totally this. I knew as soon as he came out with that flaming statement earlier in the week then EVERYTHING would be about him. This was going to be a wonderful May until the parade, win lose or draw these last four games. Now it's all about him. me personally, well I'd NEVER boo any player wearing a Liverpool shirt, especially not at the game, but now that's all SkySports News and a trillion ****ing desperate bots all over social media have been waiting for to knock the gloss off our victory. I just wish the little **** had kept his gob shut - I'm sure he only came out with it to force Liverpool's arm into letting him go early.

Mane, Alonso, Keegan, Owen and several others waited until after the last game to announce they were going. That all said, even had they said they were going, I personally would never had booed them either on the pitch or at a parade afterward. Best he just ****s off now, tbh. Shame, as he was entitled to be on that parade whatever anyone says, as are all the players from the 2020 season who missed out as well (and Klopp).

Bradley wouldn't have lasted that game without getting sent off, IMO.

Can someone link me the 18 articles about United fans booing their whole team for the past 3 seasons and all the United fans and pundits saying what a disgrace it is?

    or did that never happen?

    Shouldn't worry about that.

Nobody is expecting man utd fans to be grateful they are 16th.

They are expecting fans to be grateful that
Trent cost lfc 70 to 100mil and got his brother and himself massive signing on bonuses.

Brilliant first half followed by a lacklustre second. Pity about the 'winning goal', especially who the foul was on, a player who hadn't stopped fouling Salah all game. Officials really know how to suck the joy out of a game. That happens at the other end, it's a goal. Doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things but would have been a delightful end to the game.

Trent substitution was a mistake. Redmen tv reported that it caused fights in the stands between those booing and those trying to stop them. It was an easily avoidable situation.

Yep, I thought it would be a given that he wouldn't be getting another game tbh.

I'd heard he'd skipped training all week. I think a Coutinho bad back would have been quite diplomatic. Then again, a bit of kudos to him for not playing that card.

They were given several days off. I don't know that slot would put anyone on a bench if they had not trained at all.
