Boris why does it bother you so much? I don’t think adding a story, be it true or not adds any validity to a selection on here. We’re on an open Internet forum, most of us strangers so how do we know what anyone says is the truth on here? We use our own judgement when backing horses and if there are people on here who have backed this horse purely based on this story then more fool them. And Mick I am by no means suggestion you have made up a story I’ve no reason whatsoever not to believe you and any information or tips or fancies should be appreciated by all on here. I’ve said it so many times before but we bet of our own accord

Champions Day – really?
Clearly the bookmakers did not think it was as competitive as some were making out as the only favourite that went off more than 2/1 was in the closing handicap – and 3/1 was rubbish in a 20 runner field, even though it won. Of the 80 runners that started a race, 48 started at 16/1 or larger. The most competitive race betting wise was the Champion Stakes with seven of the ten less than 16/1 (although the race was 116 per cent over-round).
Order Of St George is no champion. He has run seven times this term and won four of them. He was beaten at 4/5 in a Group 3 first time up, won a 5-runner Listed race at 4/11, was beaten in the Group 1 Ascot Gold Cup at 5/6, won a 6-runner Group 3 at 1/2, beat Torcedor nine lengths in a Group 1 at 2/5, was fourth in the Arc at 8/1 (his only race as a non odds-on favourite) and then just scrambled home against Torcedor in a Group 2. Well placed by his trainer to maximise winnings but nothing more.
Well done to those that backed Librisa Breeze but he is no champion. Harry Angel does not like Ascot and I would have laid Caravaggio to win at 100/1 over six furlongs on soft ground. If a good three year old sprinter comes along next year, Harry Angel will only win the older horse races unless he improves markedly.
Only two three year olds managed to win. Fair play to Hydrangea, she beat off Bateel in the final furlong but this was a moderate field for a Group 1 and she would not be a Group 1 filly any other year.
Ribchester was beaten by a filly rated nearly a stone inferior to him, who had been placed twice in Group 1 races but never won one. He will still end up as champion miler on the ratings because he held off Churchill, who has been running the same race since May.
Whilst Cracksman won the Champion Stakes emphatically this was not a great field and if there are any decent three year olds next year he will have no chance of living up to the hype that has been generated this season. Being a son of Frankel is a liability in terms of expectation. The Champion middle distance three year old was at home at Clarehaven Stables.
I am sure somebody knows why ITV sent weather chick Lucy Verasamy down to the start for the Champion Stakes. That moron Luke Harvey reckoned that Barney Roy looked a picture but clearly he could not see the horse sweating up behind the saddle like all the viewers at home. Then he asked Lucy for her opinion of Cracksman as he was being led into the stalls. Why? They should get Stevie Wonder in next year...

Disagree on Cracksman QM. I think he is developing into a really nice horse. He has a very intelligent look too and is as cool as a cucumber. He was an underdeveloped baby in the Derby and still is; but he is coming along nicely. As I have said in a previous post somewhere, "What price the KG and Arc double next year?"

I'd guess the answer is yes to both, I'd also like to think that with the knowledge that most posters have on here that they would of checked the form and made a decision based on that to back or not to back the suggestion.
I lost money on it but i also backed the winner as i was at Ascot two weeks ago and backed Lord glitters then and if memory serves a poster gave the winner to that race which i ignored.
Pays ur money takes the chance, your all big boys/girls now to make your own minds up, give it a rest with the rants, absolutely no need.

Champion Day would be awesome if it wasn't an after thought for the majority of the genuine group one horses. Plenty miss the meeting altogether, most other top, top animals that do rock up are not targeted. The real benefit is for the group 2 horses that can pick up group ones. A breeders dream. I'm not saying anything original but it is interesting to see.
I am not disagreeing that he is developing into a really nice horse. I have only seen him in the flesh once, at Chantilly, where it was inescapable that he has some of the temperament of his father. Seeing him in the preliminaries on TV at Ascot and York, I noticed the same. Perhaps as a four year old he might calm down a little.
We have had two mediocre years but if a top-notch middle distance three year old materialises next year, Cracksman could still win the King George (if he can beat Enable) as the top three year olds mostly bypass it these days but a top-notch three year old (British, Irish or French) will win the Arc unless Enable repeats.
If Cracksman were not a son of Frankel most of this discussion would not be happening. An objective analysis of his form to date shows he has not achieved very much. Can anybody remember Jack Hobbs? Five races in the last two years yielding one win at Meydan.
We will have to stop discussing this soon as some are clamouring for that crooked jumps racing to get going again.

Time will tel QM. He could be as good as Enable, and may even be better at 4; and that is saying something from me.
