De Ridder very impressive. Cork and Spiderman gelled very well together, be surprised if they're not our starting central midfield pair. Chambo looked very sharp, didn't boo him but couldn't bring myself to applaud him either.

Felt a little sorry for the WBA left back as he was terroised by Chamberlain 1st half. Don't know if it was his foul, but it was over the top and would have got a booking in a league fixture. Fingers crossed it's not too serious, did not look as bad as the Charlton injury.

Still the left back would have been pleased to see him gone and then De Ridder came on and started skinning him :)

Just back. Harding was really good in the first half, lallana was as classy as ever, The only player who I didn't think in it was Guly, seemed anonymous.
The midfield was solid, we kept the ball but the Baggies were very quick and direct on the break. Draw was a fair result. De Ridder was a revelation! I cannot wait for the next match, he is quick with maybe just too many step overs but he put so many good crosses in. Lambert must be licking his lips.

Thats what impressed me the most about De Ridders performance, he could do all the fancy stuff but he consistantly produced quality crosses! He has a lot of work to do on his fitness to catch up with the rest of the team, and needs some time to gell but if he keeps that sort of play up than he will provide Adkins with another midfield dilemma!
Hopefully Oxo's injury is just a knock because against Bremen and again tonight he looked extremely bright, direct, skillfull, powerfull and hard working! Lallana wasnt at his best for me tonight and the team just seemed slightly short of playing time, with too many of the lads not on the same wavelength. Guly and Connolly didnt work, but didnt see much of the ball in the right areas. Connolly ran his socks off again but Guly seemed disinterested. Played some good possession football but would have liked the ball to be moved about a bit quicker.
Overall a good, generally solid display and so long as Chambo is alright a useful workout.

The tackle from Mattock wad not a foul, it was a bloody good tackle, one footed on all of the ball. If anything chamberlain bottled it slightly, hence why he picked up an injury from it.

To be fair the tackle on Connolly was 10 times as bad! Looked like he was sliced in half!

It transpires the injury was sustained in the first foul, the jump tackle just completed the job.
