Leeds United fan in peace Our thaughts on our board are with every one at Leicester at the moment with the sad loss of mr Srivaddhanaprabha, with a couple of his staff & pilot killed in the helicopter crash at King Power Stadium. RIP
Leicestershire police confirm the five people who tragically lost their lives at King Power Stadium: Leicester City Owner: • Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Staff Members: • Nursara Suknamai • Kaveporn Punpare Pilot: • Eric Swaffer Passenger: • Izabela Lechowicz (also a helicopter pilot and Eric Swaffer's partner).
Deserves more then a stand We are building a new £100M training ground and extending the stadium. All part of Vichai’s vision. Chairman come and go but Vichai will always be with us. He is more then an owner and a chairman. He along with Top took us for a club falling behind the times to one ahead of the game on so many levels. None of that would be possible without Vichai’s backing finacially and emotionally. RIP Vichai. Your legacy is amazing and we will get behind Top just as you was always behind us
The training ground I like the idea of. I wouldn’t be in favour of renaming the stadium as it is already of the name he gave it and named after his first legacy. A statue is a must and the training ground or a stand at the very least
Sincere condolences to all affected by this tragedy and to all at Leicester football club, the fans and the city as a whole
Can't even begin to imagine the sense of pain for the family. The scene of the greatest triumph is now one of the most unimaginable tragedy.
I've been there with Saint Markus in 2010 but not in quite so shockingly tragic circumstances of course. I cheered your team on in 2016 and what you achieved was very special and unlikely to ever be repeated and that wouldn't have happened without your Owner and that will be his lasting legacy along with his obvious generosity. Very best wishes for the future and I hope that this does not adversely affect the team too much, but at times like this things like that tend not to matter too much in the scheme of things, just pride in the local club as it is.
I agree, What he did for you will never be forgotten, He turned you into premier league champions, No-one in Leicester will forget that, R.I.P.
I'm not very good with condolences so will express some thoughts instead; Being a lower league supporter i rarely follow anything these days in the Premier League, the financial side has destroyed the game for me. BUT Leicester City unlike the rest caught my attention and imagination of what every genuine supporter dreams. I willed them on to win the title that year to break the cycle, and so did every other football supporter in the country as well has around the world. Leicester City to me were like the minnows in the FA Cup that you always hoped as young child would go on to win at Wembley. Times have changed, I've got old, but for that moment in one season Leicester City revived those young boyhood memories in me, probably to never be repeated again in my lifetime in the same way. There was a few doubts, in my mind at least, that it wasn't going to happen and that a North London Club was going to spoil the party. But you did it and everyone of you will remember that for decades to come, you will pass those memories on to your children and your grandchildren, because football is a passion deep in our heart. One man and one man alone made that all possible, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha R.I.P you warmed so many hearts around the world, and i've not even touched on the kind and very charitable generous donations to those in need of financial support
Can't think of many (any?) other club chairmen that would receive the same outpouring of sentiment as your guy has stimulated. Being a nice guy is one thing, but on top of that he brought commitment and success that few have matched in such a short space of time. He deserves this thread. If you do come to play us on Saturday, you'll receive heartfelt condolences and respect from all in the ground which I very much hope includes our owner too. It's a funny thing but bringing success to a club carries far more public kudos than just saving one, but that's life.
NUFC fan in peace - condolences to the club, fans, players, staff and especially the families of the people who've lost their life. An absolute tragedy. The respects being shown show what an absolute gent the owner was.
