Seeing as you've chucked your toys out then LD, lets make it public. Whose banned you then? Not me. I asked you politely, to stop posting the same old stuff on our board, as we were bored to tears with it. I then went on to say you can still post on our board, I wouldn't try to stop you. You were the one who started up with the insults, saying that there are less than a dozen decent Pompey fans. Poppycock. I know lots of decent Pompey fans and lots of decent Saints fans too! Also, show me in the PM I sent you, one use of the word ban then. Pathetic. I thought better of you than that. You are still welcome to post on our board anytime you want, we just hope that you won't.
Well said...i think it is well known that there are excellent fans of pompey and saints alike that can get on, create debate and provide a positive and safe contribution to this forum that we are fortunate to have available to us. Whilst I am all for freedom of speech that a debate promises, unfortunately there are a minority of fans (from both sides) who perhaps take things too far which casuses all sorts of nuisance and bother to the wider audience. Hard to stop it but youre not on your own - you will find much support against the sainsts 'fans' who abuse from the majority of the saints FANS.
After months of everyone telling Chainrai to sod off, now they want him back. Wouldn't it be amusing after all the Pompey fans have gone on about the FAPPT and suddenly BC fails All that he does is increase the debt by putting more money in
Cheers Billy I get a bit crazy sometimes too! I guess I miss the old days of BBC606 when we had to be polite, but it was a better forum for it, and I now know how difficult being a moderator is. The beeb guys got paid though!
Chanrai is the only player in the game, but still don't understand his motive. Will putting a few more million in really protect his original investment. Obviously Fratton Park is worth less than what he's owed or he'd gain from liquidation. Birch said as much when he took over. Sometimes it's better to shoot a horse.
I guess we have a list of prospective owners Rickie, with God at the top and Beelzebub or Rupert Lowe at the bottom and just go with whoever is favourite, at the time, as to where they come on the list.
It isn't clear who wants him back, or what his reasons are to get involved again, I am sure it is not for the benefit of the Pompey supporters but I would be happy to be proved wrong, and what is the position of Gaydamak in the equation? LD no problem with you posting on here, ignor the minority WUM and abuse (both factions are guilty in equal proportion), that is not what most of us are about, if you must respond negatively you will just boost their egos. Put your opinion across, we will probably disagree but that is because we look at it from a different direction, doesn't mean that we are right.
That is very true Don, but when someone you have debated with for a long time, starts resorting to insults and stereotyping, expects us to take it and still think he can carry on as though we have no feelings. well even I am pushed sometimes.
There was a fans meeting yesterday and apparently when asked about BC possible return only two people raised their hands in favour of it... That just says it all!
Not sure where you got the "now they want him back" from Rickie. Opinion on Chanrai is very divided - between those who see his sole motive as being a money-grabber using PFC in his dispute with Gaydamak Snr (given credence by Gaydamak Jnr's behaviour retaining the land around the ground) and those who take a more pragmatic view of someone who lent funds and wants those funds returned. Nobody suggests he is anything other than a 'businessman' who has no interest in PFC but who either a) made a 'stupid' business decision by lending £17m to PFC via his own company Falcondrone or; b) saw an opportunity to put the squeeze on Gaydamak Snr who owed him $23m (approx £17m). It is very unlikely that he would fail the FLs Owners & Directors Test. He might put in necessary funds on a short term basis, eg 3 months, but no way will he "invest" another penny - he wants his £17m back - his only motive for keeping the club as a going concern.
No the meeting silly, I thought someone was going to add, BC had full 100% backing at the meeting then.
The FL would like Pompey to at least continue to the end of the season to be easier all round. But Chanrai seems to think that if he provides some support a buyer will be found. Who? Genuinely feel for their fans but surely this will be better when it's over and the future begins. I'm sure Pompey have enough reasonably well off supporters to enable a fresh start.
I don't want him back. It's like going back out with your ex after she dumps you: it might seem like a good idea in the short term but ultimately it makes things worse and you end up regretting it
I just don't get how anyone would want to put more money in to help Pompey complete the season. How would that increase the value of the club when it's liabilities already exceed its assets? the only advantage of ownership for Chanrai is that it gives him another opportunity to control what assets that are left, say, the office shredder for example.
We've all done that Lapras, it's like that pass the bomb game, you know it's going to go off, but when.......
I went back out with my last girlfriend twice after she'd dumped me. The final time we went out, I was quite insecure by that point and annoyed (but not surprised) that she dumped me again. Was annoyed that she dumped me by e-mail as well.
This might seem trite, but you will find true love one day Lapras. please log in to view this image There are lots more Laprii in the sea.
Irrelevant though . It's Birch's job to get the best deal possible , fans wishes won't matter a damn to him .
