You think fans owning clubs is mental?I didn't pay much attention to this but is it basically giving fans the right to buy out the club...That's mental
I think...if I'm right... that the SG want to circumvent the ability to buy shares in a company because it's a football team...it is indeed mental....why should a ft be different from any other company? You think fans owning clubs is mental?
Circumvent the ability to buy shares?I think...if I'm right... that the SG want to circumvent the ability to buy shares in a company because it's a football team...it is indeed mental....why should a ft be different from any other company?
I'm only guessing at what's being proposed
^^^^Circumvent the ability to buy shares?
You're just guessing?
So what you did was make a statement that was based on nothing more than your hatred for the SNP with no actual knowledge of what you're talking about.
At least you're consistent eh.
I will inform you Mindo.
The legislation being brought in is actually a land reform bill which is designed to give local communities the first refusal to buy land when it goes up for sale. The seller, through this legislation will legally have to offer the local community first refusal if they have previously registered an interest in the land.
There was an amendment made to the bill put forward by the Green party to include football clubs in the legislation. This means that fans trust or groups who, I think we can all agree have an interest in their clubs will have first refusal if and when an owner decides to sell up.
So......not the Scottish governments doing. Actually the Green party's doing and actually an excellent idea and not mental at all.
You're welcome.
Aren't the club saying that it was the league who are opposed to the legislation and not Celtic in particular?http://www.journalonline.co.uk/News/1020812.aspx#.VwDsO33TXMI
Maybe the club are opposed to this, **** knows!
