    Well said.

I did say last week that I was only posting so much because the derby was coming up and everything was getting a little more competitive. Most of the conversation on here was about the derby, so naturally there was more for me to have a chatter about as it was Sunderland AND Newcastle business. Now that's over, there's much less. Also, because the Sunderland vs Newcastle thing is over (for now) my natural mag bias (I don't deny that I have it) has simmered down after being so inflamed over the last week (as was everyone's).

And for the people likely to jump on this post, I'll answer your next question. No, it doesn't mean I'm going to '**** off back to my own board now'.

What's the problem with people posting on any board they like as long as it's within the rules.
These boards are becoming more and more insular, unfortunately. It's getting to the point where we may as well ban all visiting supporters from posting on our board.
I used to enjoy going on a Newcastle thread on BBC606. I stay well clear now though. It's a shame really, As Sunderland fan I can post a perfectly reasonable comment only to get a **** load of abuse and told to **** off. So what's the point in even trying?
I'm sure it's the same for them here too. Well I know it's the same. I've seen it often enough.

I think that our site is far more welcoming to the mags than what their site is to Sunderland fans...Personally I love the banter, but even I thought it was getting out of hand on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

There has to be boundaries MrRAWhite. But shouldn't they be the same no matter who you support?

Who gives you that? Probably a bunch of tits who don't really represent what the true fans over there think.

There are a lot of good fellas over on the NUFC side. I'd rip into anyone who insulted any mackem who made a genuine post over on our board. It's the little knobbers like that who put people off visiting our board when a lot of us enjoy having genuine and alternative views from fans of other teams. Well, I like it anyway.

I think I'm missing something, I really must be and before anyone says yes, but its your super mod status, it may be with the od poster but not with most.

I visit the Newcastle board and always have, not on a regular basis but if I have something to comment on. I also welcome Newcastle fans or any other fans on here. I have had grief on the Newcastle board, its why I know the mod status means little, and every time I have had grief I know why. Normaly I have no bother, the odd bit of good natured banter but thats all, mind you always get the odd podter who will say **** off, we all have them.

I said earlier that in chaps case I used to enjoy his visits, he then started to be, IMO, a preacher and he pissed me off, every thread he was on. Over the past week the old chaps came back and I dont mind him.

All that said, and its just my opinion, this is the Sunderland board and he seems to be on here more than his own, simon, sombrero and others come and go, chaps stays. Just an observasion.

I am quite happy to bury the hatchet with Chappaz. He knows so much about the Sunderland team and has such insightfull comments on our signings he must watch a fair few Sunderland games. If he tells me where he sits at the SOL I will buy him a beer next time I am up.
