He has 'potential' but that doesn't mean he's going to fulfil it, and if he does, we'd probably sell him for a £5m profit anyway ala Dembele. We need a CM to come in and slot into the team straight away, is Hughes going to do that? I really rate the guy and would love him to come here but for £10m? Absolutely not.

I'd say yes to Chris Brunt of WBA, have always liked him, but I don't think he's a step up from Steve Sidwell, and not sure he's what we need right now.

Chris Brunt is only 28? I thought he was in his 30s. In that case, he would be a much better signing than I thought. I know that a few years ago he was a winger. How much has he played in the centre?
