To clarify, mods can see the IP address that a user posts from. After Wonky left in January, about 10 days later "Carla" joined, from the same IP address. A little investigating showed there was little to suggest that Carla was related to Wonky, and was most likely the same person. Seeing as "he" wasn't causing any problems we let it lie for a bit, until TonyMunkyCanary outed Carla himself, without even knowing the IP addresses. At that point "Carla" disappeared for a bit, and as far as we're aware hasn't reappeared since.

I go through phases where I do not contribute that much as I am busy so missed it.

Wonky left in a huff at the end of January, making a thread asking for his account to be deleted. I might be reading too much into it, but it seemed to coincide with me being "promoted" (and at the moment I use that term very loosely!) to a moderator, I think he was unhappy he didn't get a chance through a democratic process. I don't think his health is always brilliant either, so I think that was a factor too. He came back shortly after with a new account, under the name "CarlaCanary", and to begin with it was hilarious watching him go OTT trying to convince everyone he was female.

To be honest it might have been February, it was around the end of the transfer window. I think he may have signalled he was going to leave, then went when the window shut. And I'm really not sure if congratulations is the right response! <laugh> "Fool!" might be closer to the mark!

hard job i imagine. i couldn't do it, that's for sure! i'd be banning people left, right and centre - i'm not even sure i'd survive the banning orders! <laugh>
