Sure. But I’m only looking at this from the comedy angle.

 

If (and I do mean IF) we avoid a 4-0 pumping fae Anderlecht then we've got European football after Christmas and that was about as best as we could have expected from this group.

But, as for Rodgers, it's all very well sticking to your footballing philosophy but it shouldn't come at the price of humilating the club. Think big Dermot needs to have a word in his shell-like.

That’s sad.

 

His philosophy is to be play an expansive, passing game which is fair enough if a) you have the players to do it at this level and/or b) you're playing against opposition that isn't a milllion times better than your own team.

When diddy teams like Hamilton, St Johnstone etc. play us they defend in numbers and close us down. It rarely earns them a win (they get the occasional draw) but at least they avoid getting pumped 6 or 7 nil. Christ, even Rangers managed a draw against us once!

 

I think Celtic has suffered greatly since the collapse of Rangers.

The sooner those boys get back in the saddle, the better it will be for both clubs, and for Scottish footy.
