I think we could stick a few past them. the saints haven't been an easy ride recently but with their injury concerns this could be an opportunity to win by a morale boosting score line.
I wouldn't play Broon that would be silly but we do need to go with a strong team. Watt is the only fringe player I'd consider. Bring on Paddy and Miku if we are well on top.
I'm not going tonight but I'm beginning to wish I was.
St Johnstone (up until ICT beat them) were looking like a cracking side and they're still only two points behind us in the league (albeit we have a game in hand).
I don't think we'll take tonight for granted and Lennon will send the team out knowing they need to win this - Lennon hasn't won this trophy as a manager (I know it's the "diddy cup" and all that but I think he really wants it).
My main reservation is that we'll probably have a half empty stadium tonight which doesn't help the team.
Other than that, you would hope we're good enough to blast through to the semis.
There is a week and a day until we play in Europe, so I would play Brown for at least half the game.
Was it not a lack of fitness that took him off after an hour last Tuesday. Playing only an hour a fortnight
is no preparation for Champions League football. I know we need him on Saturday as well, but maybe that is getting
too close to Wednesday night. I am not sure about Watt the goal he scored against ST. Mirren was brilliant, absolute
top drawer but then when we needed against Killie, he shot when a simple pass would have set up a goal and he missed
a sitter. I just don't know, if he is a good one or a Burchill. I hope he is the first
