    That doesn't make the "atrocious" possessive to the "spelling".

    The apostrophe is to intimate a missing vowel.

    "Your spelling is atrocious" becomes "Your spelling's atrocious".

    The possessive apostrophe comes because Olde English had an "es" at the end of names to show possession.

    I think Lennon is wrong blaming the new players last night surely the senior players should have helped them out, blame yourself before them , a back 4 and 2 sitting defensive midfield players against the second bottom side in the championship . No decent chances in 90 mins , the minute the big centre half went up we created 10 good ones in 15 minutes , that game was crying out for Balde yet three uninterested senior players came on as subs .
