If he could play like this nearly every week he'd be a first choice.

    Rennes down to 10 men.

That'll do. Unlike the Huns we're still in four competitions.

Wonder how much Nev blew on a Rennes win?

Mine was Kayal. He was tremendous but Sammy ran himself ragged. He'd be hugely valuable if he could play like that all the time. The goals are always going to be a concern but you'd forgive that for performances like that.

I invested a few quid on us tonight at 19/10 - after being in France to watch the previous leg I just couldn't believe that Rennes could be favs to beat us at Parkhead. It's surely a sign of our fall from grace the fact that they were.

I had emotions and money on it so I couldn't really enjoy it until Hooper put it beyond doubt - but the fact remains that Glasgow Celtic should be much better than these teams and even the crowd tonight were a bit disappointing. I am not sure what it is, probably in part the global financial situation but maybe also the fact that we have barely invested in the squad since MON left - but the situation remains, these European nights at Parkhead are no longer anywhere near what they were and what they should be.

It's a financial reality Mick. The money just isn't here in Scotland for us to go and do in Europe what we did under MON. His team was full of 3, 4, 5 and £6m players like Sutton, Hartson and Lennon. Now, we spend £2m and it seems like a big signing.

And that was a stronger Rennes team than the one we played in France.

In terms of big European nights with a great atmosphere, we need to get back in the Champions League. Simple as that.

If I was a betting man which I'm not anymore. I would never EVER back those useless ****s to beat any team. They are so bad!! good win for Celtic, I actually had you on a coupon that I picked out (didnt back) only birmingham ****ed it. I'm glad it got beat, it was 25/1
