I am beginning to think most professional football teams play just about the standard of their opposition. It is very seldom in any league does a team win by about 5 nil unless it is abit of a freak score with possibly own goals and defensive blunders playing a part. Last Saturday we played around about St Johnstone's standard and with near enough the same team we played to the standard of Benfica. Regardless who is fit and who is not N.Lennon has to do his utmost to get the team to play better than Dundee. Last mid-week QOS dropped their standards and damned nearly paid the price by having to go to penalties to get the better of lowly Sevco.
Team for tomorrow (now today) should be : Forster, Matthews, Wilson, Rogne, Ambrose - Brown, Wanyama, Commons, McCourt - Hooper, Watt. Miku & Lustig both carrying injuries. Assuming Brown is okay he should start but Twardzik could start if he is not. Ambrose can play lb, lets give him a shot as Izzy is not at the races at present. The more Wilson & Rogne play together the better. Wee James is out of sorts, Paddy will do his job better. Tony & Gary for a brace each & Kris to score also. I've missed out on Chuck Mulgrew for tomorrow just to see what Ambrose can do, but if any problems after 30mins or so then bring Charlie on. Otherwise, if Broony is to be rested then maybe Charlie instead of Filip. Big win for the Hoops 5-0 hail hail.
Keep your low style lifestyle off our boards. Santos your lifestyle of yourselves and your team got your lot to the fourth division.
Team news: Forster; Matthews, Wilson, Mulgrew, Izaguirre; Forrest, Brown, Wanyama, Commons; Lassad, Hooper Subs: Zaluska, Ambrose, McCourt, Rogne, Watt, Ibrahim, McGeouch Good to see young Dylan back in the squad.
Thought we should have switched him and mulgrew the other night, at least briefly mulgrew could defend better and izzy bomb forward and not think about defending, as he can't
