Agreed that there is no VAST gulf, but there is a gulf, and it will take longer than one summer for Rangers to get up to speed now they're back in the premiership.

Celtic was a one-off, because that was the only time Rangers played Celtic last season. Any win, especially against your rivals, is a good win, but it's foolish to try and paint it up as a massive indication that Rangers are ready to do that week in, week out, against an entire division that could also beat Alloa 9 times out of 10.

Next season will be interesting, but the best Rangers will do is to get Top 3.

"when Celtic prove their superiority beyond any doubt"

I never said "we" or "shall" either for that matter.

Rangers 2012 are about as good as Inverness. They can finish anywhere from 4th to 12th imo. Unfortunately for them as they will be skint for seven years, being Inverness is going to be their benchmark for a good while

God forbid Aberdeen or Hearts make Champions League should our coefficient improve in that time

It's going to be a long quarter century bears

We'll get second place I'm sure.

We're 3 points off 2nd at the moment. I was at Firhill on Saturday and Thistle were crap up front so I'd be surprised if they score at the Old Lady and we can't go on missing so many chances.

Once we get into 2nd place, I'm sure the RHEPTILES will start to look over their shoulders and bottles will start crashing as they see the tsunami get closer and closer.

BIG JOCK'S A LIAR, ALL THE KIDS WERE TERRIFIED.

"Rangers 2012" ... surely more like 'Dybbuks 2012'? ;-) To be fair though, from what I saw of them against Aberdeen, there wasn't a lot between the two teams & if they can sharpen up tactics & find a proper goalscorer, they may give the potential runners-up teams a run for their money.
