We were awarded the second-leg 3-0, so our tie finished 3-3 with no away goals. Replay was the only option.

Celtic were awarded the second leg 3-0, making it 4-4 on agg, Celtic win on away goals.

We won the 2nd leg 4.1...? How can they remove 2 goals from the actual result.

I know its not gonna happen, but i think a reply would have been more appropriate under the circumstances.

Er, they didn't.

Lost first leg 3-0. No problems with that one.

Won second leg 4-1. Initially Stuttgart went through on away goals 4-4.

Then discovered they played ineligible players in 2nd leg. Uefa rules state that in such circumstances the opposing team are awared the game 3-0. This meant the tie finished 3-3. Daft I know but that's Uefa for you.

Cheers Wickersley, I didn't know the UEFA rules.

Looks like someone at Legia Warsaw didn't either. Got to feel for them though, the player served his ban but because of an administrative balls-up his team are thrown out and presumably he'll have to serve his three match ban again !

No time for a replay anyway

There's ways and means to be fair. <ok>

Its not gonna happen anyway and Celtic have got lucky as fk, so its irrelevant.

Just wish there was a "common sense" rule, where someone says, for something so trivial and such a small easy mistake to make, they deserve a replay.

It won't make any difference anyway, they'll be embarrassed in the next round...

May not Shaks, talking of buying at least one new winger before that game. May actually serve as a wake up call to desmond and the board to splash some cash

IMO Eire they are an average side who were found out. I'm no mystic meg but I'd be surprised (depending who they get) if they get further. They are in a poor League with no competition , the sooner Rangers get back the better.

They're playing Maribor of Slovenia. No idea how strong they are. Agree a straight operating Rangers are needed but not the corrupt outfit they're fans have been stuck with for years. A few bob Sky money would also help

Strong at home Eire. I put them in my accy all the time. Celtic should beat them at home, but if it's close going to Slovenia, it could be tricky. I certainly couldn't slag Rangers and their dodgy owners, when we've had our fair few..
