His testimony was made in a trail where the defendant was found guilty. Birt's testimony went a long way to securing that conviction. So a jury must have found his testimony compelling but not you, you prefer to question the man veracity because his testimony doesn't suit.

Hugh Birt was never on trial. He was a witness for the prosecution and everything he claimed was happening has proved 100% accurate.

Well you can't possibly make that statement. No one has denied Birt gave evidence for the prosecution, it's an established fact. Likewise most of the evidence he gave. He is the only person who said Jock Stein kicked Torbett out, there is no supporting evidence whatsoever. And as has been said many times before (but fallen on deaf ears) IF Jock did kick him out then he did the right thing...at the time.

If there was hard evidence at the time (and not just tittle tattle) that Torbett was a *****phile then it would have came out at the time, but like 99% of all legacy child abuse cases there were rumours, but rumour and speculation don't fulfill the PFs requirements to bring a case to court. That's why the police did not act at the time because there was no evidence, no complainants and no witnesses.

There were complainants, there was evidence. It was brought to the attention of the club and the club swept it under the carpet. Told parents they would deal with it "in house" so as not to sully the good name of the club.

I don't get this I really don't. There is a mountain of evidence against board members of Celtic at the time when this went on. Instead of demanding answers you and most of your fellow fans continue to make excuses, question the veracity of those who had the courage to attempt to stop it and bring those responsible to book. You seem more interested in Jock Stein's and Celtic's reputation than any kind if justice.

These crimes happened 30-40 years ago. What the fùck do you care if cùnts like the Kelly's, Whites and McGinns are found to be complicit? These are the cùnts that ran your club into the ground.
