Not really, they have not been in the running truly for a number of years due to the fact some of the other clubs are backed by billionares now and have unlimited spending power(though they had a shot last year and blew it). It's hardly a 2 horse race this year, Chelsea, City United all have a great chance and some might argue Liverpool will be up there after all the players they have bought. Football never really sickens me, stupidity, bigotry and racism I would say sicken me the most
Drinking salty water or too much tequila sickens me. Are you content then to support a team that looks like they've accepted their role as a top 10 side but not top 4?
Tequilla slammers. Oh, the memories. None actually. Canny remember a ****in thing any time I drank them.
I'll take it that was a joke and you don't usually engage in bigotry mate as that has no place in football despite what goes on between the "top" clubs in Scotland. You might want to get a little reality check on the top 10 stuff, Arsenal have been in the CL group stages for 15 years straight, we have lost 2 top class players and started badly and with all the injuries and suspension it's hardly that surprising. Lots of good players signed and with luck will certainly be in the top 4 again. Anything less than CL football for a club like ours is considered a disaster unlike some who cannot even get out of the qualifying for the Europa league. Shamrock Rovers got further on merit than any Scottish team, that has to hurt a Rangers fan! Rather Embarassing is it not?
You said yourself it was between Man Utd, Man City & Chelsea with Liverpool also looking good. I took it that you had accepted your club would struggle to finish 4th which most other people believe. Rangers getting knocked out of Europe did hurt at first, I love those Euro away trips, but I got over it and I'm hoping that without any Euro distractions we can get muscle down and win the league again. Embarassing is getting HUMPED 8-2 by one of your biggest rivals.
I was giving the generally accepted view that those teams are most likely to challenge for the title, given our current squad problems and the bad start I see it as unlikely that we will challenge though not out of the question. A top 4 spot will also be tough but I would and most other fans would agree we'd be very disappointed if we did not acheive that. It's the minimium goal for us. Getting thumped 8-2 is shocking, we had a woeful team out full of kids and were away against a rampant outstanding Man U team. Wenger as ever tried to play football instead of maybe parking the bus, something your lot are familiar with on a regular basis. It did not work out, hardly our biggest rivals, that would be Spurs and Chelsea as an Arsenal fan. Best thing that could have happened as he got the cheque book out and we are raring to go again. Rangers fans are not exactly known as the best of away fans and have caused all sorts of bother on away euro trips, prob for the best that they can't qualify for the CL anymore yet alone the paltry pi ss poor Europa league.
Yikes, I didn't realise that 8-2 comment would hurt you so much. An attack on how Rangers play and our fans in Europe. Ouuuuccccchhhhh. No matter if you're team was full of youngsters or you were away from home, 8-2 was a terrible result and a pathetic performance for you lot.
Does not really hurt at all mate, pretty obvious is was a pathetic performance, wumming on that is a bit obvious.. I was delighted in some respects as it forced our club to bring in some decent players, something your lot should consider. Look best of luck for the season and all that, the point I was making is that bigotry and in many cases racism have no place in football, maybe you don't agree as i have heard the chants from old firm games and it makes the game look like a secondary issue for most of the fans attending. Prob not hard to see why though given the standard in general (joke)
You were delighted your team got one of the most humiliating defeats in recent history. Sure pal. Bigotry and racism have no place in football, but why are you directing that comment at our club. There are lots of clubs out there who's fans have shown signs of bigotry and racism in England, Scotland and around the world. Are you on a crusade to speak to all of them to? Or was it a case of you trying to have a wee pop at the Rangers fans? As for the standard in general, the only team to not concede a goal at Old Trafford last season was?
Your fans are on here openly engaging in bigotry and the rest(read this and many other threads), there are few other clubs in football who engage in this so proudly as yours. Seriously? that game at Old trafford was possible one of the most cynical and shockingly negative displays of football i have witness in all my years of watching football. No credit whatsoever can be given for that performance. I have nothing against Rangers or no allegiance to any Scottish club, at least you admitted it was wrong, now if only that could be drummed into half the other clowns who follow your team. Get on with it and stop wumming, I have wished you good luck and I mean it on the footballing side, a Rangers fan is not really in a position to try and feel superior to an Arsenal fan with all due respect. We have given you Kyle Bartley and he will hopefully do a job for you when he's fit.
