When a pub was opened in the town (the town's first!), When a chippy was opened in the town and (this one is stupid) when Network Rail replaed a manual wooden gate to a level crossing to an automatic metal gate - there was a 3 year campaign to save the wooden gates. Frinton is proper backward
We have a giant Wicker man next to the M5 plus a camel looking out from a field. Sometimes they re-paint the camel - now how about that for thrilling!!!
