He should fit in fine, as has been said he's a decent passer and a great athlete, a bit like Stylian Petrov, good dig on him too.

Thanks it must be why laudrup is going for him, the passing players are the ones we are after. Sorry that we are apparently taking him, we've just been through the same thing with Joe Allen and Liverpool, so I know its a bitter one to swallow.

celtic fans are not bitter, we were prepared for ki leaving and maybe going to a lower rank EPL team. Didn't you read that Mick wasn't going to have him in his
1st eleven. I am glad he has gone to swansea and not QPR, they are really hit and run merchants with a poor manager.

Didn't say Celtic fans are bitter, just that losing a player cheeses people off. Especially when you get people coming here asking what kind of player he is etc, we had it with Allen a lot.

    And Simon will do ;)

He's a good passers and works fairly hard can sometimes drift out of games but will fit the way you played last season. If he gets room and good movement around him he's a great player.

£5m certainly sounds a bit on the low end but I guess if he has 14 months on his contract then he is free to talk to other parties in January, so it was now or never really.

Its not really the same thing your taking someone who is just on the fringes of our squad rather than our prized asset. Its a good offer and suits everyone, Ki will get more room in the EPL to express himself, Swansea get a good player and we can strengthen elsewhere as we have plenty others in midfield.

A bit Lawellesque there lol. According to the official site he has gone for £6m. Since he was hardly getting a game that is good business, but I think we should have waited to creates bidding war, but I seriously doubt we would get £9m for him, but you never know.

he still needs to agree our wage structure ... and we will not break the bank for anyone. Any ideas what he is rumoured to be on?

I don't think it is too low. I would say it's about right. We were never gonna get the 9 million which some people had him down for.

hopefully there is a big sell on clause which could net 2-3 million in a few years

I don't buy all this crap about Ki being too lightweight for the SPL.

Look at recent SPL Player of the Year awards: Steve Davis, McGeady, Nakamua, Maloney etc.

Hardly known for being big, physical players. Ki is a good player and I expect he'll do well in the EPL.

As for signing Daly from Dundee Utd? Have we learned nothing from signing big lumps like Murphy and Chris Killen? <doh>

Apparently the fee is £6m up front, plus £1.5m after a set amount of games plus 15% of any sell on fee.

    Very very good business.
