Happy pills taken Stewart decides to take a low settlement and signs for Bermondsey Bombers who play in the Hackney Marshes Second Div ("Millwall did offer me a super deal, but seriously as a footballer you have no chance at that club" said Stewart to the Suicide Bomber fanzine) ... Cellino gets pissed in a seedy bar in La Mancha and returns to Leeds having signed Nikki Anelka as Stewarts replacement on the wing .... Anelka causes havoc at the opening training day, sucking off the entire squad in the showers while the head coach fondles his balls ... Cellino is dumbfounded, while Anelka says "I told him I like to play and very good if you like a fling, and I'm a very good swinger for a tranny" ... Cellino tries to justify his new signing saying "I swear he said he plays on the wing, and is a very good winger for a Frenchie" ... a week later Norwich bid £4m for Anelka, and immediately half the squad request a transfer to Norwich because "the shower after training has never been so good since Nikki got here" ... well, not counting the hidden cameras of course "For the sake of Leeds United he would break himself in two"
Fair enough. Let's hope all the optimism surrounding Cellino when he finally took over don't disappear in yet another false dawn fog as a result of a cr*p manager/coach coming in, followed by a load of no mark players being signed up.
It better not. I get the feeling we really are drinking at the last chance saloon this time. If Cellino fails, we will likely never return to the pl again. In his defence, he has to make it work. Its only club he now owns and has already buried a fortune in the project. He's not in it for short term gain because unless we get to the pl, he can never get his money back. It will eventually work out but will take a while to correct ten years pillaging at the club. Surely its a positive that he wants rid of Stewart for example. He clearly feels he's not good enough and wants a better calibre player, same as rest of us
Fair point Eire. Another winger who failed to live up to expectation. Would have been nice for his loan period to be extnded a bit to see if he could deliver with a different manager. But if Cellino/the new coach can bring in some better quality, so be it.
