Those of us who have been on here a while feel the same I'm sure Clingo. Roy was always good for an off the cuff remark and not afraid to provoke controversy and fight fire with a nuclear bomb. Especially with a certain poster from further west. I sometimes think Prophet was the lighter, more acceptable ego of another current Cardiff Not606 poster, who we haven't seen for a day or 2. Perhaps this poster was Prophet's lesser twin Masks for sale. Well used and unwashed. I, and some still on here, met Roy a few times for an after match pint or 6 at the Insole. Great company and sorely missed. RIP Roy.
Roy was very much an icon on this and the old 606. He and I discovered that we had a lot in common in terms of the people we both knew. In the end, we decided that we must have met at some point but could never pinpoint it. Sadly because of my own trials and tribulations, I never gor to the Insole to meet up with him and others on here. It remains a deep regret of mine. And, having spoken to some of our shared aquaintences, he's missed by so many. RIP bluemoon/prophet/Roy.
Maybe not the right thread to post it, but Celtic after big Mick......................... https://www.footballinsider247.com/...eltic-shortlist-as-contract-details-revealed/
Well that puts a different perspective on things. Even if it's just a rumour at this stage, do we move now to offer an extended contract to Mick? Although I'm sure he's not the type of bloke that will allow this sort of potential move affect his remaining time with us, if true and an offer transpires, with his previous affinity to the club he'll surely be tempted. This is a problem we haven't had for a while - we usually can't get rid of them!
The last sentence could be telling. Celtic want a DoF. I'm not sure MM would want the potential interference. Has he worked with one before? And if so, successfully?
Just watched highlights of Under 23's at Wurzeland. Good 3.0 win with Tomlin scoring the second. I think someone said earlier in the week that Tommo had put on some weight. Bu££er me, he makes me look slim. Crash diet needed to lose up to 2 stone around the middle. Tommo I mean although I could use that too. Skinny blokes pants for sale. Washed clean and not used recently
Some squad rotation with 2 more games in quick succession coming up? It’s tricky to see who he could bring in to relieve anyone. It can only really be midfield. Vaulks was well off the pace today. Pack not much better as was Murphy.
Back 5 must stay the same, but you can perm any 5 from 12 for the front 5 - that's Mick's job. Pack, Vaulks, Ralls, Bacuna, Williams, Hoilett, Wilson, Ojo, Murphy, Harris, Watters, Moore - there's a dozen for you Mick. PS - don't consider Tommo yet unless 8 of the above are injured.
Pick a front 3 of murphy, harris and Wilson. Should put the willies up most defences. (Nothing to see here masky, just a turn of phrase). 20 to go, bring on vaulks, ojo and hoillet. Press and run, press and run.
The last half hour against both Bournemouth and Boro was like the Alamo, but at least Crockett and Co fought back and gave the Mexies something to think about. We did nothing to ruffle their feathers and allowed them to queue up outside our box. They both knew we were just going to hang in there when they all stepped up, we gave them nothing to worry about at their back. There seems a degree of support for keeping Moore on but I find that baffling. They guy was out on his feet for the last 20 minutes at Bournemouth, and I believe he (we!) suffered for it yesterday at Boro - the guy even looked tired in the first half let alone at the death. We have 5 substitute options available and Mick just used 2 at Bournemouth and 3 at Boro - it's not as if we don't have any available. At this time of the season and at the pace the games are coming thick and fast, rotation/rest for the players is common sense. It's nothing to do with keeping faith in the players out there that have done you proud in the previous games. It's about managing your resources to rest and rotate, otherwise the "chosen eleven" are going to burn out - like they did yesterday.
MM was justified in keeping on Moore v Bournemouth but yesterday he should have been subbed after 70 minutes or so.
