Plus Suarez has outshone Cavani every time they have played together, most recently at WC 2010 and Copa America 2011 where he was voted player of the tournament. He is every Uruguayans favourite player (go ask them) and why? Because he is their best player.

I don’t know his future – but if he is sold I am sure Liverpool will want a world-record fee for him. The record was broken in the summer – and for me Luis is at a higher level than that.

Look I acknowledge Suarez is a World Class striker but the fact you seem to think it's out of the question anyone could think Cavani is better than Suarez just shows your opinion is biased. MANY jounalists and football fans think Cavani is better.

Without subjectivity there's point carrying on this debate.

Cavani is one of the best strikers but Suarez is better.

Suarez is better this season and even in major tournaments for Uruguay, Copa America and 2010 World Cup, Suarez was better than him.

Anyway what matters the most is Liverpool have Suarez and Arsenal have Giroud and Bendtner <laugh>

who did you have before Suarez and Sturridge ?

bendtner was going and we were getting Ba till jose changed mind, we had agreed fee for Higuin till napoli gazumped us by £10 million, and we did trigger a release clause to buy a player from Liverpool but it seems that they don't honour contracts.

our biggest failure was to not replace RVP when he went or getting replacement sorted out before he went, which is what other teams seem to do. even spurs managed to buy 7 players before Bale was officially sold.

Cavani played like a beast in 2 matches against Chelsea and missed 1on1 chance <laugh>
 
Yeah Cavani was poor tonight. He's a quality player but was poor in this whole QF tie tbh. Not really the striker I have in mind for us to buy anyways.
 
perhaps he played poorly so his price will go down !! maybe we might be able to afford him then

Also Chelsea did a great job at keeping him quiet. Much as they did against Luis Suarez back in December.

Wouldnt mind if Wenger spent £50m on buying him, his first season could rival Ozil first season at Arsenal for sure.

If hes more talented, why does Suarez outplay him at major tournaments for Uruguay all the time??
 
How many major tournaments has Suarez played in? My only recollection of him is cheating at the world cup.

One things for sure, nobody will ever rival Andy Carroll's first season at your club, lol, 35 million quid for that, so funny. Maybe you lot should go spend 40 million to bring Heskey back.
