I dnt follow Cardiff , I would just assume if we are shelling out reasonable dollar for a defender he might have had some decent form ?? Are you saying he was just as **** then ? To be honest I can't recall but I know there was some good stuff said and shown from him at the time . .....
Honestly Jimbo, The majority of Cardiff fans laughed at us. Like for us, he could win balls in the opposing penalty area but didn't get close to them when defending! We signed him because Harold had him as a younster at Tottenham. Also remember that we paid even more money for that giant of a centre half in Samba! The price you pay doesn't always equatewith ability.
I hand on heart did not realise that , genuinely thought he was an up and coming talent when we signed him ....
Of course, the chances are that he will perform beter in the coming months than at any time in his career!
I read Liverpool have a severe CB shortage due to injury. He'll probably not play any more for them than at Saints. Hope we are getting a better deal from this move otherwise there is little in it for us.
I think it was a bit of a panic buy tbh Jimbo. They probably thought he was a Spurs kid so must have been good for Arry. Sad really because i wanted him to do well but he kept switching off at the wrong times.
I think Liverpool signed him because he scored a last minute winner for them at Loftus Road last season. Other than that I can't think of another player who cost us more goals conceded last season than Caulker.
This guy really has the midas touch. Every team he plays for drops him. He seems to be a bad drunk and gets found out each time. I'm still scratching my head that if he can't cut it with us, who the fook would want him? Yet, Pool have now taken him on ............................ amazing. A small win for our club.
