£8.5m is a lot of dosh for this guy, and hopefully he will prove to be worth it, only time will tell. I am concerned about Deeney though, if that rumour is true, still early hours. £8.5m for him would really worry the hell out of me. That's swapping Remy for him for Christ's sake!
Remy is worth a lot more than that though. It was his release clause amount and he wouldn't have signed for us if we hadn't agreed to it. The market is hugely over-inflated so I suppose we just have to go with it to get the ones we want. As for Caulker..........great signing imo.
Many of you will have seen the stats on SSN tonight. Caulker made the most number of blocks in the PL and third highest goal scoring defender. Makes the Bardiff WUM's sour grapes all the sweeter! Suck it up mate. Small pay back for the fire alarm!

He's a good signing for you, should have been him or Davies in the England squad over the summer. Expect neither of them to get a look in again this season though while Smalling is still wearing a Man U shirt to hide how badly he's playing. The fee seems a lot, but he's ready to play a full season so you're not really buying him on the basis of potential, and if you keep him for the 4 years it's just the same as signing a player at his level for £4M every 2 years which you'd not think twice about that. We all know it's Deeney now, but were the suggestions of Rhodes as the English striker more hopeful than anything else? I know he was born in Oldham, but I think being a Scottish international he's not likely to be described as English by many managers.
