I can honestly say I've never agreed with one single post you have ever written Yappy. That doesn't mean you are wrong or right in your opinions/observations. The problem doesn't lay with Caulker but with the whole set up. If we were to release Hill, Dunne, and some unnamed others, they wouldn't even attract mid table championship teams never mind premiership standard. We have the players capable of surviving but first and foremost they have to be selected. I would start every match home and away with the following and only change it for injuries or suspensions. Would try to get some stability, confidence and rhythm in our play. Green Isla Onohua Caulker yun Phillips fer Sandro hoillet Austin vargas
I blame Caulker completely for the goal (with a little help from Ned) & for the booking that Barton received, but I would definitely retain him in the side. I would never drop a player because of one or two individual mistakes. Even Messi & Ronaldo make that amout every match. Unless Donaldson or Sendles-White are ready to play we are down to three centre halves & only three possibilities to play at full back. As one of those players covers both positions that is a choice from five defenders. I also don't think that we have anyone good enough to play as the natural wide players in a 4-4-2 system. I know I will be in the vast minority, but I'm convinced that we need to revert to three at the back with wing backs. If at times that means it is a back five so be it. Providing on fitness (Yun that is) the side I feel would be best for us on Tuesday is:- Green Ned, Caulker, Hill Isla, (two form Henry, Barton & Fer), Yun Taarabt Vargas, Zarate It ain't gonna happen though!
It's a repeat of the Liverpool Game. Should have seen it out for the draw. Guess we forgot that lessen yesterday.
My 11 year old, who plays centre back for his school, said 'I hope they are not going to score now' as soon as Caulker was caught out of position. We should have learned from Liverpool indeed. It would have been different if we were actually losing the game. Bad choice not to the cautious at the back.
I thought the defence was ok yesterday Caulker was a lot stronger Really easy to point the finger Agree with Col of course we should of settled for a very good point which we errant against a really good side Ward Prowse was superb and saints pinged it around without any flapping They pulled us around most of the game and their defence was the best I have seen this year easily Caulker and Dunne kept Pelle very quiet and of course we should of held on but we didn't that's is of course frustrating Second half we pulled them about The best defence in the league No real product but we matched a team who par Chelsea and today Spurs can beat anyone in this league They are so well balanced and solid So if you eliminate their goal threat then you have a chance Caulker did that for 90 mins he is certainly good enough We got punished for a split second That's the difference Caulker etc will handle Defoe Tuesday I hope he does that job then we have a chance to Nick something
You do state the bleeding obvious like the monkey youse are, eh? That's what opinion is, so why the need to explain it? Well Yun's still out injured, and now Charlie may have broken his right foot, and Sandro is still out, so what will you with the squad then, eh? Nevermind WANTING to start with a particular line-up, now you may HAVE to play the players you don't quite rate? Well that makes you a brilliant man-manager then, dunnit? You blame the whole set-up? Why don't you shut your pie hole and go back into the cave. Yes, and your opinion also counts for nought. Never said my observations need to be right or wrong. They're just observations. Some agree, others don't. Politics!
Yes, Dumbo, you have a childish elephant as your avatar and a silly purple line with a dog hiding behind some fencing as your signature entertainment.
Exactly. He obviously hadn't listened to Harry when he told the whole team to do that at that point in the game when a point is in our hands.
Yappy is a fantastic addition to this board. I think he could become a legend in his own dinner time. Keep it up fella cos you do make me laugh!
He does read the game very well but unfortunately he plays in the fifth division of his league so wil never play for the Rs!
