Jugster What happens if ur insurance company decide to increase ur insurance so you have a look elsewhere and the 3 points make a massive difference elsewhere? I would take a speed awareness course any day.
YWBK - for most people you are right but for my circumstances, this was the better option. Firstly, I was really busy and didn't have the time for their stupid course. Second, I disagreed with it from a moral standpoint and wasn't going to pay them even more money. The police arseholes were sat at the entrance to my town - I have to accelerate onto this road from the road where i live because traffic coming in is usually doing 60mph and it immediately changes to 30mph. They just do it every 3 months to make money. The insurance I pay for is motorbike and the quotes from all suppliers were no different whether I had 0 points or 3 points. My car insurance is paid for by Motability because of my young lad and that's going to be the case for the next 5 years regardless so by that time the points will be off my licence anyway. So, as it wasn't going to affect any premiums I paid... stuff them.
Fair enough Jugster police are crafty bastards mike I think it depends on the police force how much it is, I paid 90 but my course lasted the full day
