Three bookings all season. You can't fault his efforts for working on his discipline. It's a hard reputation to shrug off but apart from his straight red his discipline has been superb this season. He needed to work on staying on his feet and he has. The timing in his tackle has improved massively. Respect from me like.
Agree with Gil,but you do have your worries when he goes in for some tackles...but today,he was class!!
Agreed TFP he's discipline is improving and long may it continue. When a player of Yaya Toure stature says he's the toughest he's played against in the EPL thats the type of player we need. Like I say Catts was superb today
What are we going to do with Catts? He drives me to distraction!!! For me he was MOTM. But next week he'll get sent off. I want us to build us a midfield around him and Jack. But....... What are we supposed to do?
Excellent performance from the Cattmeister today except for two occasions........ Both second half but (1) he lost concentration and played a suicide ball that could have been punished (2) one reckless challenge that should have been a yellow card. Just saying. x
My arguments: point 1... Completely agree it was a poor ball... But he did the hard work to ensure it didn't get any further. Point 2: the challenge wasn't one tenth as bad as the one by Rodriguez on him! (And, let's be honest, Cattermole would definitely have been sent off for that)
It's the best I've seen him play technically. He was his good old reliable self protecting the back four. Very impressive.
Sandy fella, check his disciplinary record for this season. Three bookings, that's all. He'll never shrug the rep if we as fans maintain it.
'I said, "Didier I saw you on the TV and you were so happy. I have never seen you like that. Why was that?" 'He told me it was because it's just so hard to win the Premier League that the happiness is like nothing before. 'Even when you go to Blackburn and Stoke and Blackpool . . . it is so hard every week. He said I wouldn't understand until I played here. He was right. There are others, too. 'The one at Sunderland, what is he called?' he asked. 'Yes, Cattermole, that's him. Very strong!'
Wow. Hadn't realised that. Just seemed like a few weeks ago he was getting sent off every day! How time flies. But point well made. He's obviously working hard to improve his game!
