On he contrary, I see this a a real positive sign that he is growing as a manager and realizing the players he has picked thus far are not working. Catts could be the making of di canio IMO as he is exactly the same kind of character and fire. Something our team had lacked in recent months.
BTW, I think the buy a English bulldog midfielder thing during the window by Di Canio was a ploy to fire Cattermole up when he regained fitness. He was basically saying he wanted a general to boss the midfield, preferably English, knowing full well he already had one in the ranks. He didn't bid for Huddlestone or even make a move for Barry (thank **** for that). It is just my opinion mind but the talks this week with Catts & the boss indicate that maybe Di Canio is not as naive to this premier management stuff as people might think..
He's experimenting with his squad which we we're all warned would be the case ......... different players need different styles of encouragement/ management. I think you may well have a point regarding Cattermole and we may see the player finally fulfill his years of wasted 'promise'.
Well some on here have there own agenda , i think you are right about this view , it all makes sense , catts has remained tight lipped and let his manager do his job without contradiction.
.. Lets hope if he gets on the pitch tomorrow then we see the missing bit to what I see as a very good, thought out jigsaw..
Cheers mate and I mean that sincerely. When I can't make the matches my first thought is always for the people who've managed to get. Win and I'm hoping they sing all the way home, lose and I'm gutted for them. It's my last match before we start the drive home on Sunday ........ nice to know there are people wishing me well. I'll be there with one of my sons, who's never lived closer than 130 mile of Sunderland, and it's nice to know I'll leave a few Sunderland supporters behind when I go. I'd love to be driving 'home' with a 3-0 win to keep me company.
I would love you to be driving home with good memories and a fine win too. My lad posts on these boards (Teessidemackem) and he became a fanatic for the club by the time he was 8 years old. He grew up amongst Middlesbrough supporters but never let the guard down and shouted Ha'way the lads many a time amongst them. You remember the old days smug, we went there before on the old 606 and it's great to see the family follow the tradition, so to speak. You have a great day tomorrow my man, yell for me too & enjoy. Glad to see you here and as probably being the best mitigator in the history of mitigation as Joe Peski in 'My cousin Vinny' then your hired if I go off one again haha.. Enjoy tomorrow mate..
