Just been on sky sports Stoke are more confident of landing Lee Cattermole and although I am a fan of Cattermole on his day gus seems to think the same as me that sometimes he is a liability.

Also while listening to talksport they were talking about bridcutt who plays a similar role to cats according to them that bridcut is better on the ball and will get the odd goal so I am a bit more confident if we get £5m for cats I will wish him all the best but hope Stoke go down

We need to keep catts imo.

One in one out isnt good enough especially when our depth is gards and seb.

Having Catts and Bridcutt would make the squad look a lot healthier.

That said, every player has a price. Ir there is a deal, lets just hope its done early enough that we can bring in a replacement.

If we Sell Cattermole it certainly shouldn't be to Stoke FFS!

Don't sell one of your most influential players to a team rivalling you for position! Ask Man Utd/Arsenal

Keep Stoke thinking we are going to do business until the last minute then tell them to come back in the summer..

No way do we sell to our relegation foes, complete madness, even if they offer 5 million, we will need Catts grit tomorrow, why would he go to a club who on current form are in a worse state than ourselves.

Well I thought a cup winners medal would mean more to cats besides I would think Bridcutt would be cuptied.

I still say keep him and offer them Larsson and gards instead

We need to keep him till the summer. If we were safe then fair enough. Whos to say Bridcutt wont get injured in his first game?
Id be gutted if he went to Stoke!

So ‪#‎SCFC‬ deal for Lee Cattermole is likely to be done. ‪#‎SAFC‬ are interested in Geoff Cameron but it's a long shot.

GUS POYET has admitted Sunderland have received an impressive offer from Stoke City for midfielder Lee Cattermole.

Cattermole, who was at the Black Cats' training ground this morning but did not train because he is nursing a calf problem, has been the subject of interest from Stoke during the last week.

And Poyet is not sure what will happen in the remaining hours of the transfer window.

The Sunderland boss said: “we were expecting not to do any business today except if there was an incredible opportunity either way, which always appears for different reasons.

“From the beginning of the morning, we started to deal with the Lee Cattermole situation. I am late because in the last few hours we have got to a really impressive point.

“The offer and the situation is not easy. Nothing is finalised. It is still ongoing.

“I don't know what will happen. There are too many things involved. There are many, many things. It is a difficult situation for me as a manager.

“In my mind I had a team, a squad, but at no time did i think I would be talking about Lee Cattermole today. It is simple. I would like to keep the group of people I have here.”

Ffs, he could be off, reading that.
